About: The Gift That She Is

What gift have you wanted or received more than anything on your list? Was it a
new sport car with lots of power, a new set of golf clubs, a vacation, or a promotion on your job? While nothing is wrong with wanting or desiring these things, they pale in significance to the better gifts. Salvation of course is the best gift, but next to it is a woman! Yes, ever since the Garden of Eden, the world has been better off! Why? Because of her, a woman.
Poor Adam was wondering around lost, lonely, and miserable. God in His infinite mercy looked down and said “It is not good for man to live alone, so I am going to make a helper comparable to him”. He made a forever friend (or should be), a closer than a brother. Man’s true best friend-a woman.
God put Adam to sleep, took a rib, and made Eve. When Adam awoke and saw Eve, his heart probably skipped a beat from excitement or felt his heart would come out of his chest from beating so fast. Adam looked at Eve and said “WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMAN” which meant flesh of my flesh, and bone of my bones. He knew God had done well! He knew God had given him the very best, precious gift He had ever given-A WOMAN.
Ever since that time and in various cultures, the woman has taken different roles. These roles were/are dictated by rules that are made by man for man’s benefit. Some say a woman is a second class citizen, or she must wear certain kinds of clothes, or some even believe she must wear a covering on her face, or maybe she can’t become involved in public office. She is just not an as important as a man. I say ridiculous! If God made her, it is good! It means she is good! She is a gift! To me she is a “pearl of the highest price.” One who any man, with any sense, would leave anything to find and upon finding her, would give up everything to keep her.
She is to be:
Treasured-She has more value than any of the world’s jewels, gold, or silver. As such, she should be protected from loss as one that is precious to another.
Loved-1 Corinthians 13 reads ”the greatest of these is love.” She, our precious gift should receive our best, our love. It has been said the difference in love and lust is lust is pleasing or satisfying self more than others, love is pleasing or satisfying others before or more than self. She deserves real, genuine, unselfish, love.
Appreciated-Webster defines appreciated as “To set a just value on, to esteem fully the worth of, to be grateful for, to be fully aware of, to be recognized, to raise the value of.” She should not only be told she is the best, but shown.
Honored- She is the one whose worth should bring respect. If she is a day care worker, a nurse, a wife, a mother, or a corporate officer, her worth is not in her education, title, or accomplishments, but in who she really is!
Encouraged-In Philippians 4:13 she is given encouragement. “She can do all things through Christ who strengthens her” The sky is the limit. All things mean just that, anything. She can do or be anything. You should show her utmost love, respect, and faithfulness. Be a man of integrity and encourage her to,
Go for it, go for the gold. She can do it.
